Chartrange Company History

Chartrange Limited commenced trading in 1983 from a central Manchester location. Its aim in those early years was to service the construction industry in bulk excavation and disposal requirements.

The Company quickly expanded, and as a result, diversified into the fields of Quarrying and Landfill.  This expansion prompted the move to larger premises from which the business now operates.

From this new location the re-processing of materials was commenced under E.A. and Local Authority guidelines. The Dukinfield Head Office comprises, offices, stores and workshops, which service our fleet of some 30 eight-wheel tippers, some 25 hydraulic excavators, ranging in size upwards from 6 tonnes to 50 tonnes alongside dozers and 30 tonne dump-trucks.

The Quarrying and Recycling element of the Company includes tracked crushers in addition to screening and stockpiling equipment, to produce a full range of recycled aggregates for the construction industry.

The in-house expertise in off-site disposal and on-site recycling, to win site remediation and regeneration contracts, whilst undertaking the full role of Contract Management and including adopting the role of Principal Contractor, all in accordance with the current CDM regulations.

Using our in-house screens/crushers and partnership arrangements with organisations such as Lafarge, we can offer substantial savings to both our clients and customers for disposal off-site or surplus materials and importation of recycled aggregates.  All recycled materials offered to construction sites are supplied with the relevant accreditation documentation and certificates.

Now undertaking Groundwork’s, Drainage, Hard Landscaping, Demolition and Earthworks; Chartrange offers to Clients the ‘One stop shop’ for works underground, removing the problematic liaison between varying trades.

This expertise and knowledge enables Chartrange to offer substantial savings to clients and customers alike, thus giving the Company a competitive ‘edge’ whilst attempting to improve the environment.
